ANSWERSIGNAL

LEGAL

Privacy policy

Effective August 27, 2026

AnswerSignal provides website, answer-engine, and Google Business Profile audits. This policy explains what information we handle when you use the service.

Information we collect

Google Maps Platform data

When enabled for a scan, AnswerSignal uses Google Maps Platform to identify a relevant public business listing and create an audit. Google Places information is refreshed when the report is viewed. We retain the Google Place ID and our own analysis, rather than a stored copy of Google's live place content. Your use of Google Maps features is also governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

How we use information

We use this information to run scans, generate and deliver reports, process purchases, prevent misuse, improve the service, and respond to support requests. We do not add a report purchaser to a newsletter merely because they bought a report.

Shareable report links

Unlocked report and test-kit links are designed to be shared with a customer, employee, or marketer. Anyone who receives the link may be able to view the report and add or update its visibility test results. Share the link only with people you trust, and do not add confidential information to test notes or evidence links.

Service providers

We use service providers for hosting, database storage, AI analysis, Google Maps data, payments through Stripe, and appointment scheduling. They process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

Retention and your choices

We retain report and transaction records as reasonably needed to deliver the service, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. You may ask us to correct or delete your personal information, subject to records we must keep for legitimate business or legal reasons.
